Vietnamese Restaurant in the Bronx!

Vietnamese Bahn Mi

Pho with "Nasty Bits"

The Bronx is not generally a hot bed for great ethnic food.  The great spots are few and far between, and there isn’t a lot of variety.  So I was very excited when I stumbled upon Com Tam Ninh Kieu, a great little hole in the wall Vietnamese spot on Jerome Avenue near Kingsbridge Road.  They have extremely fresh and authentic Vietnamese food and it’s very inexpensive.  The Banh Mi is really incredible, crusty fresh bread, great crisp vegetables and flavorful pork.  The Pho and other noodle soups have all the requisite “nasty bits” that I love (ok there are versions that have just boring flank steak too), a really comforting treat in the wintertime.  All in all a wonderful find and I will be back again and again.
